Thank you for your interest in Ideal Homes Inc.  Ideal Homes Inc. was founded as Ideal Trailer Village in 1951.  A family owned business for over 70 years, Ray Robinson Jr. started the business long before there were home manufactures in the region.   Not until the 1960’s did manufacturing plants show up on the west coast so Ray trucked in homes from Indiana to sell on our sales lot here in The Dalles.   Over the years Ray and his two sons Chris and Gary have manufactured campers in their 7000 sq. ft. shop and built three manufactured home communities with 180 spaces.

 

In 1990 Ray Robinson retired from the business leaving matters to his son Gary Robinson.  Gary updated the name from Ideal Trailer Village to Ideal Homes Inc.  Ideal Homes Inc. and Gary Robinson have continued the quality, integrity and customer service that was first established by founder Ray Robinson.

At Ideal Homes Inc. we do not use high pressure sales tactics, in fact we don’t have commissioned sale people.  We simply live, sell, and service by the Golden Rule.  Our goal is to guide you through the process of choosing the right home, custom built to your specifications and assist with financing and site preparation work as well.

 

Being the oldest manufactured home dealership in the northwest we have the experience and knowledge to help in choosing the right home on the right budget.  Low overhead expenses along with no commissioned sales people allow us to offer extremely competitive prices.  We value our repeat customers and word of mouth recommendations.  We have sold homes in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, California, Nevada, Arizona and Montana.
